The Office of Advocate Ashwini Upadhyay, a distinguished lawyer practicing before the Supreme Court of India, is inviting applications for its December 2025 Internship Programme.

About the Organizer:

Advocate Ashwini Upadhyay is a reputed Supreme Court practitioner, widely recognized for his impactful work in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) and constitutional law. His practice spans diverse areas including governance reforms, electoral accountability, civil rights, and commercial law. Known for his strategic litigation and policy-driven advocacy, he has contributed to several landmark cases that have shaped public discourse and legal reform in India. Interning at his office offers law students a rare chance to observe and participate in high-stakes litigation, while learning how constitutional principles are applied to real-world challenges.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 1st December – 30th December 2025
  • Mode: Offline (In-person)
  • Schedule: 6 days/week
  • Location: New Delhi (Supreme Court vicinity)

Eligibility:

  • Open to undergraduate law students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LLB programmes
  • Applicants should demonstrate interest in constitutional law, litigation, and legal research
  • Prior exposure to drafting or research is helpful but not mandatory

Key Areas of Work:

Interns will gain exposure to multiple domains of practice, including:

  • Constitutional Law & Public Interest Litigation (PIL)
    • Research and assist in drafting petitions on governance, electoral reforms, and public accountability
    • Study landmark judgments and policy documents relevant to ongoing PILs
  • Commercial Law
    • Work on matters related to RERA (Real Estate Regulation Act) and IBC (Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code)
    • Assist in preparing briefs, compliance documents, and case summaries
  • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
    • Support research and documentation for IP-related litigation and advisory matters
  • Civil Law
    • Draft notices, pleadings, and case summaries for civil disputes
    • Observe practical courtroom proceedings and case management
