It focuses on areas such as human rights, accessibility, inclusive education, and gender and disability. The Centre seeks to ensure equal participation of students with disabilities within the University and beyond. By engaging academicians, practitioners, and stakeholders, it fosters dialogue and scholarship on the growing importance of disability studies.

The 9th International Conference on Law and Economics, scheduled for January 2026, will focus on “Empirical and Applied Law & Economics of Governance and Inclusive Public Policy.” The conference seeks to highlight how economic analysis can guide legal reforms, enhance governance, and promote inclusive policymaking. It invites submissions across diverse areas of law and economics, including property law, torts, criminal justice, disability and inclusivity, gender justice, business and finance, market regulation, environmental governance, and social equity.

  • Market Regulators: Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Securities & Exchange Board of India, Pension Fund Regulatory & Development Authority, Competition Commission of India, Consumer Protection Authority, Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission.
  • Gender: Erosion of reproductive rights, same-sex marriage, surrogacy laws, rights of the LGBTQ community, affirmative action, marital rape, gender and AI.
  • Environment Law: Environmental social governance, corporate social responsibility, carbon pricing, green finance, waste management, renewable energy
  • Economic Analysis of Contemporary Legal Developments: For instance, regulation of digital media, regulation of pornography, policy of one nation-one election, sub-classification in reservations, electoral bonds, private property as community resources under Article 39(b) of the Constitution, Uniform Civil Code
  • Social Equity, Inclusiveness and International Trade: Cooperation in Sustainable Development, Social Cohesion, and Good Governance Other Substantive Areas of Law & Economics: labour, energy, health & safety, international tax, family & personal laws, immigration.

  • Research Scholars pursuing Ph. D in the Interdisciplinary Study of Law & Economics.
  • Academicians teaching & researching in the interdisciplinary study of Law & Economics.
  • Professionals working in Banking, Finance or Economics field.
  • NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST. STUDENTS, RESEARCHERS, ACADEMICIANS, PROFESSIONALS HAVING AN AVID INTEREST IN THE INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDY OF LAW & ECONOMICS ARE WELCOME TO BE A PART OF THE CONFERENCE TOO.
  • The Top 2 full papers will be published in the GNLU Journal of Law & Economics, a peer-reviewed and Scopus-listed journal, after incorporating reviewer comments. This provides an excellent opportunity for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and professionals to contribute to a reputed platform that promotes high-quality interdisciplinary research in the field of law and economics.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Interested Contributors are requested to send their Original Papers/ Manuscripts by clicking on this Google Form Link.
  • Length of full paper: The word limit for Original Papers is 5000-7000 words (excluding footnotes & title).
  • Extended Abstracts: Long abstracts (Extended Abstracts) of 1500–2500 words will also be considered, however extended abstract will not be considered for publication in the journal.
  • Format: The Papers have to be submitted in Microsoft Word (Doc. /Docx.) formats only.
  • Font: The body of the manuscript must be in “Times New Roman” Font only.
  • Font Size: 12 (Line spacing 1.5 & alignment “justify”).
  • Footnotes: All footnotes must be in Font “Times New Roman”, font size 10, single line spacing. All submissions must follow the “The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th Edition)”.
  • The paper has to be original & free from plagiarism.
  • All authors are requested to submit TWO copies of their papers through the google form:

  • Submission having a cover page without the name of the author(s).
  • ONLY FULL PAPER WILL BE CONSIDER FOR PUBLICATION IN THE JOURNAL AFTER INCORPORATING REVIEWER COMMENTS.

  • Co-authorship is allowed up to two authors. In case of co-authorship, both the authors have to register & make the registration payment separately.
  • For participants opting for accommodation, an extra 1500/- (INR) [25 USD for foreign nationals] will be charged (excl. taxes) per day on a sharing basis. The accommodation will be subject to availability of the same on sharing basis.
