Position Details:
- Post: Assistant Professor of Law
- Nature of Appointment: Contract / Ad Hoc Basis
- Duration: One (01) Year (extendable subject to performance and institutional requirement)
- Number of Posts: 08 (Eight)
- Honorarium: ₹65,000 per month
Essential Qualifications:
As per UGC Regulations, 2018 for Assistant Professor in Law:
- Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Law with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Must have cleared UGC‑NET / SLET / SET, or hold a Ph.D. in Law under UGC Regulations (2009/2016).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Demonstrable ability in high‑level academic research and writing.
- Publications in peer‑reviewed journals preferred.
- Prior teaching experience will be positively considered.
- Professional or field experience in relevant areas.
- Commitment to improving academic and research culture at TNNLU.

- Hard copy with self‑attested documents must reach by 30th June 2026.
- Application Fee: ₹1000 (Demand Draft in favour of The Registrar, TNNLU, Tiruchirappalli).
- Hard copy to be sent to: The Registrar, Tamil Nadu National Law University, Navalurkuttapattu, Dindigul Main Road, TNNLU Post, Tiruchirappalli – 620 027, Tamil Nadu.
- Envelope must be superscribed: “Application for the Post of Assistant Professor of Law (Contract/Ad Hoc Basis)”.
General Conditions:
- Appointment is purely contractual/ad hoc and does not confer rights to regular appointment.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for in‑person interview at TNNLU campus.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Institution reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel the number of posts.
- Selected candidates must join immediately upon selection.
