The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, has launched an essay competition on the theme “Role of AI in Building a Viksit Bharat by 2047”. Submissions are open until 15 July 2026, with top winners receiving ₹15,000 each and top 200 participants invited to witness the Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort, Delhi.

  • Role of Artificial Intelligence in Building a Viksit Bharat by 2047
  • Focus: How AI can help India achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years of independence.

Organizers:

  • Ministry of Defence in collaboration with MyGov and MyBharat platforms.

Timeline:

  • Start Date: 1 June 2026 (16:00 IST)
  • End Date: 15 July 2026 (23:45 IST)

Eligibility & Participation:

  • Open to all citizens.
  • Participants must submit essays through either MyGov or MyBharat (not both).
  • Essays should be original, insightful, and clearly written.

Rewards:

  • Top 3 Winners: ₹15,000 each.
  • Top 200 Participants: E‑invitation (with one companion) to attend Independence Day Celebrations at Red Fort, Delhi on 15 August 2026.

Submission Process:

  • Register/Login via MyGov portal
  • Submit essay online before the deadline.
  • Combined results will be announced for both MyGov and MyBharat platforms.
