About the Opportunity:

DRISHTIKON-2026 is a Crime Scene Investigation Competition conducted by the School of Law and Public Policy, Avantika University, Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) designed to bridge the gap between academic legal knowledge and practical forensic investigation skills.

The competition comprises three rounds, each testing different investigative and advocacy competencies:

Round 1: Crime Scene Examination (10 minutes): Teams document the physical layout, evidence, and spatial relationships at a simulated crime scene.

Round 2: Documentary Evidence & Investigative Analysis (45 minutes): Teams analyse a comprehensive file including post-mortem reports, call logs, forensic lab reports, and more to cross-reference evidence and construct a narrative.

Round 3: Oral Advocacy & Defence of Investigation (15 minutes per team): Teams present their findings to a panel of judges, defending their methodology and answering questions on BNS compliance, evidence admissibility, and procedural law.

Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Science, and Legal Advocacy.

Eligibility:

  • Currently enrolled law or forensic students.
  • Teams may include both UG and PG students.
  • Each team must consist of 3 students.

Registration Fee:

₹750/- Per Team (including Kits)

Prizes:

  • Winner: ₹3,000 + Certificate of Merit
  • Runner-Up: ₹1,500 + Certificate of Merit
  • Additional Recognition: Certificates of participation for all teams.

Prize distribution will be conducted at the closing ceremony following final adjudication.

  • Timings: 10:30 am onwards
