Call for Papers: National Conference on Champaran Satyagraha (11th-12th April 2017, Delhi): Deadline: 3rd April 2017

Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, New Delhi is conducting a National Conference as part of the Centenary Commemoration of Gandhiji’s arrival in Champaran and the launch of the Champaran Satyagraha on April 11 and 12.

Papers are invited on the following key themes:

1. Colonialisation and Indian Economy
2. The Emergence of Gandhiji
3. Peasant Movements in Modern India
4. Mass Participation in Freedom Struggle

Participants are required to send their abstracts (1000 words) and a short CV by email to director.nmml@gov.in, hrpdnmml11@gmail.com on or before April 3.

Selected papers will be published in an edited volume from the proceedings of the conference.
