The RMLNLU Journal, published by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, is the University’s flagship peer-reviewed law journal. Indexed in the UGC-CARE List and the Indian Citation Index (ICI), the Journal is widely recognized for its academic rigor and contribution to contemporary legal scholarship.

Formatting

  • Language: English
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point, 1.15 spacing
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10-point, single spacing
  • Headings: Capital letters, centered

Word Limit

  • Abstract: 350–500 words (with 5 keywords)
  • Articles: 3000–5000 words
  • Notes & Comments: 2000–3000 words

Referencing

  • Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, 21st edition
  • Footnote style citations only

Originality & Integrity

  • Similarity Index: ≤10% (as per UGC Academic Integrity Regulations, 2018)
  • AI-generated content: ≤10%
  • Generative AI content is not permissible

Authorship Guidelines:

  • Eligible Contributors: Teachers, academicians, senior lawyers, and jurists
  • Advocates must mention their BAR Registration Number and court affiliation
  • Preference for single authorship; co-authorship allowed for up to 2 authors (only for research articles)
  • Co-authorship not permitted for case comments, notes, or book reviews
  • Student submissions are not accepted
  • Preference given to authors who have not published in RMLNLUJ (2024 & 2025)
