CALL FOR PAPERS: VOLUME XIII (2026)

The Journal & Editorial Committee (JEC) of the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi (NUSRL) invites articles/research papers, case commentaries, and book reviews on law and allied areas including interdisciplinary studies reflecting socio-economic and political ideas or contemporary issues for publication in Volume XIII (2026) of the NUSRL Journal of Law and Policy (ISSN: 2349-9982).

ABOUT NUSRL

The National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi was established by Act No. 4 of 2010 of the Jharkhand State Legislative Assembly as one of India’s National Law Universities. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 22 (September 2011) and Section 12B (2018), and by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

ABOUT THE JOURNAL

The NUSRL Journal of Law and Public Policy is a flagship annual, peer-reviewed, open-access publication serving as a forum for scholarly writing at the intersection of law, governance, and public policy, encouraging academic discourse, policy analysis, and legal reform.

CATEGORIES OF SUBMISSION

  • Long Articles / Research Papers: 5,000-8,000 words
  • Short Articles: 3500-5000 words
  • Case Commentaries: 2,500–3,000 words
  • Book Reviews (approx. 2,000 words)
    All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words and 5 keywords.
    SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  • Body Text: Times New Roman, Size 12, 1.5 line spacing, Justified Alignment.
  • Title: Times New Roman, Size 12, Uppercase, Centre Alignment.
  • Heading: Times New Roman, Size 12, Uppercase, Justified Alignment.
  • Co-authorship of up to 2 authors is permissible.
  • All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere; accompanied by a plagiarism declaration in a separate document.
  • Plagiarism Limit: Not more than 10%.
  • Submission must be in Word file (.doc/.docx) format only – PDF files are not accepted.
  • Kindly do not mention your personal particulars anywhere in the main body text of the manuscript.
  • Rename the file as: “Name of Author & Co-author (if any)”. (e.g., Sirish Prakash and Ayush Koushik).
  • Footnotes: Bluebook 21st Edition Citation Style, Times New Roman, size 10; 1 line spacing; justified text.
  • All submissions undergo blind peer review; the Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts not meeting guidelines, and may request revisions per reviewer comments.
  • The use of AI is highly discouraged and will lead to immediate rejection of the manuscript.
