The NALSAR Law Review (NLR) invites contributions for its upcoming Volume 11. Submissions are open to academicians, judicial officers, legal practitioners, professionals, and research scholars. The deadline for submission is March 31, 2026. Manuscripts must be sent via email to nalsarlawreview@nalsar.ac.in.

Established in 2003, the NALSAR Law Review has become a cornerstone of legal scholarship and intellectual exchange. With its rigorous double‑blind peer review process, the journal ensures academic integrity and publishes only contributions of exceptional quality. It welcomes diverse perspectives across legal domains, fostering critical inquiry and robust dialogue on pressing legal issues.
Aims and Scope:
- Broad, generalist approach covering multiple areas of law.
- Inclusive and accessible to a wide readership, from seasoned professionals to emerging scholars.
- Dedicated to advancing legal scholarship without thematic restrictions.
Submission Guidelines:
Types of Contributions
- Articles: 7,000–8,000 words
- Essays: 5,000–6,000 words
- Notes/Comments: 3,000–4,000 words
- Case Comments: 3,000–4,000 words
- Book Reviews: 1,500–2,500 words
Each submission must include:
- Abstract (≤ 250 words)
- 5 Keywords
Cover Letter Requirements:
The cover letter must state:
- Author details (Name, Designation, Affiliation, Email)
- Accuracy of citations
- Compliance with submission policy
- Originality and copyright assurances
- Confirmation of rights and permissions
Authorship Rules:
- Limited to two authors.
- Restricted to academicians, judicial officers, practitioners, professionals, and research scholars.
- Student submissions are not accepted.
- No changes to authorship after acceptance.
Publication Policy:
- Ethics: Adherence to COPE standards; manuscripts may be rejected for ethical lapses.
- Peer Review: Double‑blind, with constructive feedback provided.
- Plagiarism: Strictly prohibited; similarity up to 10% allowed. AI‑generated content will be rejected.
- Open Access: All articles are freely available online.
- Prior Publication: Previously published material is not accepted.
Formatting & References:
- Manuscripts in Microsoft Word format.
- Use ‘z’ spellings (e.g., recognize, organize).
- British spellings for certain words (e.g., programme, labour, centre).
- Follow Bluebook (21st Ed.) citation style.
- Tables, figures, and images must meet resolution and permission requirements.
Submission Process:
- Email manuscripts to nalsarlawreview@nalsar.ac.in.
- Authors must sign a Copyright Assignment Form upon acceptance.
- Manuscripts must not contain identifying information; author details go in the cover letter.
- Permissions for copyrighted material must be secured before submission.
Acceptance & Publication:
- Review comments will be shared with authors for revisions.
- Selected authors will be notified via email.
- Proofs must be carefully checked for accuracy.
- Authors receive online access and one physical copy of the journal.
- Active promotion of published work is encouraged to maximize readership and citations.
