ABOUT ARMY LAW COLLEGE, PUNE

The Army Law College, Pune is a distinctive institution established in July 2018 with the noble objective of imparting quality legal education to the children of our brave, patriotic & selfless Army personnel. The institution is governed and managed by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). The College is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the Government of Maharashtra and it offers a five-year B.B.A. LL.B. and B.A. LL.B. integrated courses. The Army Law College, Pune is affiliated with a State University – Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). In IIRF ranking, Army Law College is ranked 20th at national and 6th at the state level. College with its vision strives to shape the future legal professionals with integrity, discipline and excellence.

Journal of Army Law College (JALCP) ISSN 2583-7036, is an Annual Double-Blind Peer-reviewed publication of Army Law College, Pune. The resplendent & benevolent response of the legal luminaries shall be requisitioned to warrant readers to explore challenging possibilities & obstacles that exist ergo challenge lawmakers, lawyers and the society at large, in light of the dynamic social, economic and technological scenario.

Journal of Army Law College, Pune, consciously serves as forum of rational discourses, duty driven scholarly works, helping to bridge divides, uphold human rights, and sustain a more inclusive world founded on dharma.

ELIGIBILITY

The contributions in the form of Articles and Comments (on Court Judgment/Legislation) are invited from academicians, lawyers, judges and doctoral law students (Ph. D students) for the 2026 Issue to be published in November 2026.

AUTHOR’S GUIDELINES

I. Word Limit (exclusive of footnotes):

  • Articles: 4,000 to 6,000 words. 
  • Case Comments: 3000 to 4000 words. 
  • Book Review: 3,000 to 4,000 words.

II. Cover Letter: The cover letter shall mention the name/s of the author/s, designation/status, institutional affiliation if any, postal address, email ID, and mobile number.

III. Abstract: All submissions (except Book Reviews) should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and important 5 Keywords.  

IV. Citation Style: ILI citation rules (Indian Law Institute) See –

V. Co-authorship: The submissions may be co-authored by maximum of two authors.

VI. Formatting guidelines:

The contributions shall be sent in “Microsoft Word Format” (.doc/ .docx format). The manuscript shall be typed in “Times New Roman” with a font size of 12 and line spacing of 1.5. Plagiarism Limit: 10% Alignment- Justified
