Theme: Intellectual Property, Sustainability & the Green Transition
Intellectualis is a bi-monthly, student-run e-newsletter published under the aegis of the Intellectual Property Rights Committee (IPRC), School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. The newsletter is dedicated to fostering meaningful academic discourse on contemporary developments in Intellectual Property (IP) law and its intersections with diverse legal domains.
For the July 2026 edition, the Committee is pleased to announce a Call for Submissions on the theme “Intellectual Property, Sustainability & the Green Transition.”
As the global pursuit of sustainability intensifies, Intellectual Property has emerged as a pivotal driver in the development and dissemination of technologies that enable the green transition. From renewable energy innovations and sustainable manufacturing processes to carbon capture technologies and climate-resilient solutions, IP law continues to influence the accessibility and pace of environmental innovation.
At the same time, pressing debates have arisen around patent thickets, restrictive licensing practices, monopolies over green technologies, and the challenges of equitable technology transfer. This edition of Intellectualis invites contributors to critically engage with these emerging issues and examine the evolving role of IP law in shaping a sustainable future.
