National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, established by Act No. 4 of Jharkhand State Assembly in 2010, embodies the vision of our constitutional forefathers who recognized law’s crucial role in human, social, political, and economic development. As a premier legal institution, NUSRL acknowledges law as a vital social process that strengthens democracy and constitutional rule of law. In the 21st century, India’s rich legal heritage guides the institution in catalyzing constitutional goals and establishing India’s position among developed nations.
The Centre for Policies, Laws and Agenda (CPLAN), established in 2023 at NUSRL Ranchi, is dedicated to advancing research and dialogue on issues at the intersection of law, policy, and governance. Through initiatives such as drafting programmes, blog writing competitions, workshops, and research activities, CPLAN provides a
platform for students and scholars to engage critically, develop essential skills, and contribute to meaningful reforms. With its interdisciplinary approach, the Centre aspires to foster innovation, informed debate, and socially responsible scholarship for a just and progressive society.
