About the Competition:

The BareActed Lex National Level Contemporary Legal Essay Competition 2026 invites participants to critically examine contemporary legal and socio-legal issues shaping India and the world. The competition provides a platform to showcase research, analytical reasoning and legal writing skills.

Eligibility:

• Open to law students, judiciary aspirants, researchers, academicians and participants from other academic disciplines.
• Participants must be associated with a recognized educational institution, where applicable.
• Individual participation only.
• No restriction based on year of study or academic discipline.

Competition Guidelines:

• Word Limit: 800–1000 words
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font Size: 12
• Line Spacing: 1.5
• Citation Style: Bluebook 21st Edition / any consistent legal citation style
• Plagiarism Limit: Maximum 10%
• Submissions must be original and unpublished.
• AI-generated content should not be submitted as original work.
• Submissions must be in PDF format.
• File Naming Format: Name_Topic
• No identifying details should be included in the manuscript body.
• Only individual submissions will be accepted.
• Late submissions will not be accepted.
