About the Organisation

Yashwantrao Chavan Law College, established in June 1978, is permanently affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and recognised by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The College has received re‑accreditation from NAAC and enjoys grant‑in‑aid status from the State Government. It offers five‑year and three‑year law degree programmes, a two‑year LL.M. programme, and is approved under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956.

Submission Categories & Eligibility

  • Categories: Research articles, essays, and scholarly papers on law, political science, and socio‑legal issues.
  • Eligibility: Academicians, practitioners, students, researchers, and experts.
  • Authorship: Up to one co‑author permitted; one author must be designated as the corresponding author.

Submission Guidelines

  • Each article must include:
    • Abstract (300 words) and keywords (up to five).
    • Comprehensive overview, objectives, methodology, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Manuscript length: 3,000–5,000 words.
  • Author details: Topic, name, short CV, and contact information (email, phone, postal address).

Formatting Guidelines

  • Main Text: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, justified, one‑inch margins.
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single spacing.
  • Title: Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, centred.
  • Abstract: 300 words, italicised, Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.15 spacing.
  • Articles may include sections, sub‑headings, and sub‑sub‑headings.

Citation Style

Submissions must follow the SILC citation style consistently.

Peer Review

The journal is described as double‑blind peer‑reviewed, though the review process specifies single‑blind peer review. Authors may be required to revise manuscripts based on reviewer comments. The review process typically takes one week, with notifications of acceptance, rejection, or revision.

Plagiarism Policy

  • Plagiarism tolerance: up to 10%.
  • Submissions exceeding this limit will be rejected.
  • Authors must submit a plagiarism report and declaration along with the manuscript.

Publication Details

Selected submissions will be published in the December 2026 issue of Spiritus Lege.
