About the Organisation
The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, established under the NUSRL Act, 2010, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing legal education and research.
The Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) was instituted at NUSRL in October 2024 by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. CCRP promotes research, teaching, and training in consumer law and functions as a think tank for policy‑related issues concerning consumer affairs.
About the Book
This edited volume, The Architecture of Deception: Consumers, Dark Patterns and the Limits of Consent, examines dark patterns as a structural challenge to the assumption that transactions reflect free and informed choice.
The book seeks critical contributions on how consumer law can:
- Recognise harm caused by manipulative digital interfaces.
- Provide remedies where consent may not have been free.
- Hold accountable conduct that is coded rather than spoken.

- Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).

- Blind peer review: Manuscript must not reveal author identity.
- Maximum of two authors per submission.
