The RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (RFMLR), published by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, invites submissions for its Open Theme Call for Blogs.

RFMLR is a bi-annual, student-run, double-blind peer-reviewed law journal established in 2014. Indexed on SCC Online, HeinOnline, and Manupatra, it has consistently ranked among the Top 10 Law Reviews in India by SCC Online. The journal provides a platform for legal academia, professionals, and students to contribute cutting-edge research in business and commercial law.

About the RFMLR Blog

The RFMLR Blog is an extension of the journal, offering a platform for novel ideas and contemporary analysis in commercial law. In addition to open theme calls, the Editorial Board periodically releases theme-specific calls. Past collaborations include a blog series with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) on Emerging Trends in Competition Law, along with series on IPR, Digital Commerce, FinTech Law, Corporate Governance, Telecom Law, and Aviation Law.

Areas of Submission

Submissions are invited on diverse areas of business and commercial law, including but not limited to:

• Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions
• Competition Law, Insolvency, Banking & Insurance
• Capital Markets, ADR & Dispute Resolution
• International Trade & Investment Funds
• Labour & Employment Law
• Taxation & Intellectual Property
• Real Estate, Technology, Media & Telecommunication
• White-Collar Crimes and other contemporary issues in financial and mercantile law

Submission Guidelines

• Language: English only
• Co-authorship: Maximum of two authors
• Format: Articles, opinions, case comments, short notes, or critiques of existing research
• Word Limit: 1300–1600 words (exclusive of endnotes); longer pieces may be split into parts
• Style: Analytical, well-researched, and novel; avoid descriptive or generic suggestions
• Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5; justified alignment
• Citations: Hyperlinks preferred; OSCOLA citation style for endnotes (Times New Roman, font size 10, single spacing)
• Plagiarism: Strictly prohibited; manuscripts must be original and unpublished. High AI similarity will be rejected.
• Copyright: Authors divest copyright to RFMLR upon selection; moral rights remain with authors.

Submission Procedure

• Submit manuscripts via Google Form along with a signed Certificate of Originality and Copyright.
• Editorial decisions are ordinarily communicated within two weeks of submission.
• Queries should be directed to: submissions_rfmlr@rgnul.ac.in
• Withdrawal requests must be emailed with subject line: Withdrawal of Manuscript [Blog Code].
