Seminar Theme & Sub-Themes:

The seminar will critically examine the evolution of Indian jurisprudence in protecting marginalized communities, focusing on judiciary, legislation, and policy reforms.

  • Role of the state in protecting marginalized victims
  • Cyber victimization and legal safeguards
  • Jurisprudence on migrant workers and labour rights
  • Equitable access to justice for Dalit, Tribal, and Minority women
  • Rights of tribal communities during displacement and land alienation
  • Judicial trends in addressing hate crimes against minorities
  • Disability rights jurisprudence in India
  • India’s approach towards refugees and stateless persons
  • Socio-legal analysis of economically weaker sections
  • Protection of child victims in minority communities

(Participants may choose related sub-themes within the broader theme.)

About the Seminar:

  • Paper Presentation Competition: Top 12 papers will be selected for presentation at NLUO.
  • Structured sessions with expert panel discussions followed by paper presentations.
  • Encourages academic exchange and critical engagement on human rights jurisprudence.
