The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online registration portal for the UGC‑NET June 2026 examination. Applications can be submitted from 29 April 2026 to 20 May 2026, with the exam scheduled between 22 June and 30 June 2026.

UGC‑NET June 2026: Key Details:

Purpose of the Exam:

The UGC‑NET determines eligibility of Indian nationals for:

  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor
  • Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.
  • Admission to Ph.D. only

Exam Mode and Subjects:

  • Conducted by NTA in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • Covers 85 subjects across Indian universities and colleges.

  • Only one application per candidate is allowed.
  • Ensure correct details; discrepancies will lead to disqualification.
  • Aadhaar verification is recommended for smoother registration and exam processing.
  • Registration enabled through Meri Pehchan (MeitY) single sign‑on service.
