11th Prof. Ghanshyam Memorial Parliamentary Debate 2026:

The 11th Prof. Ghanshyam Memorial Parliamentary Debate (PD), the flagship annual debate of NLU Delhi, is set to take place from 25th – 27th April 2026 at the University’s Dwarka campus. This prestigious event continues its tradition of fostering critical discourse, competitive debating, and intellectual engagement among participants from across the country.


About the Competition:

The Ghanshyam Memorial PD is one of the most celebrated debating tournaments in India, known for its rigorous format and high-quality adjudication. This year’s Core Adjudicator Panel (CAP) includes:

  • Rohan Grover – among the most decorated members of the debating circuit.
  • Yatharth Surana – a leading figure in competitive debating.
  • Additional CAP members to be announced soon.

Key Details:

  • Dates: 25th – 27th April 2026 (Saturday – Monday)
  • Format: Asian Parliamentary Debate (3v3)
  • Venue: National Law University, Delhi, Sector 14, Dwarka – 110078
  • Eligibility: Open & Novice categories
  • Novice Criteria:
    • ≤ 3 Open Speaker Breaks
    • No Majors break in any capacity
  • Adjudicator Policy: N = N (each contingent must provide adjudicators equal to the number of teams registered)

Registration Information:

  • Phase I Fee: ₹600 per participant
  • Deadline for Phase I Registrations: April 13, 2026
  • Process:
    • One Point of Contact (PoC) may register on behalf of the contingent.
    • Slots are non-refundable after payment.
    • Names of participants can be revised with prior intimation to the Organising Committee.
