Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, established under the Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006, is a premier national-level institution dedicated to excellence in legal education. Approved by the Bar Council of India and recognized under the UGC Act, RGNUL is NAAC-accredited with an ‘A’ grade and enjoys autonomy under UGC Regulations. Ranked first in the Swachh Campus category (2019), RGNUL offers integrated law programmes, LL.M., and Ph.D. courses, fostering holistic legal education and quality research.
The Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights (CASIHR) promotes advanced study and interdisciplinary research in human rights. It encourages debates and discussions at regional, national, and international levels, bridging theory and practice through seminars, workshops, and collaborative initiatives.
Established in 2012 in association with the International Justice Mission (IJM), Washington D.C., the Centre for Advanced Studies in Labour Welfare (CASLW) works to strengthen the labour justice system in India. It is committed to protecting labour rights and ensuring dignity for workers and their families.
The Department of Law at Punjabi University is dedicated to quality legal education and research. It fosters critical legal thinking, interdisciplinary scholarship, and student engagement with contemporary legal issues.
This international conference seeks to provide an interdisciplinary platform for academicians, practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and students to deliberate on the evolution, protection, and future of human rights and fundamental rights. It will examine historical foundations, contemporary challenges, and emerging frameworks in the age of globalization, technological advancement, and socio-political transformation.
