About Legal Internship Program:

The World Bank Legal Vice Presidency Internship Program offers highly motivated law students a unique opportunity to engage with the mission and work of the World Bank. Interns contribute fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and research insights to the Bank’s daily operations while enhancing their legal skills in a multicultural environment.

Objective:

The program is designed to provide interns with first-hand exposure to the day-to-day operations of the Legal Vice Presidency. Interns collaborate closely with staff, senior management, and development professionals, gaining practical experience while participating in high-profile events and conferences.

Locations:

• World Bank Headquarters – Washington, D.C.
• Selected Country Offices – Opportunities available in certain regions

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply, candidates must:

• Hold citizenship of any IBRD member state
• Be enrolled in a recognized legal academic program (LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or equivalent) during the internship period

Roles & Responsibilities:

Interns will engage in diverse assignments, including:

• Conducting legal research and preparing analytical summaries
• Performing comparative legal analyses and proposing solutions
• Supporting supervising lawyers in project and task teams
• Assisting in organizing conferences and meetings
• Handling ad hoc assignments as required
