Caribbean Law Review – Faculty of Law, UWI Cave Hill
Overview:
The Caribbean Law Review is a bi-annual academic journal published by the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus). It provides a platform for scholarly discussion on all areas of law relevant to the Caribbean region, featuring:
- Articles on contemporary legal issues
- Case commentaries on recent judicial decisions
- Book reviews of significant legal publications
The journal serves both academics and practitioners, keeping readers updated on developments while encouraging debate on legal reform.
Editorial & Advisory Committees:
The journal is guided by distinguished legal scholars and practitioners:
- Advisory Committee: Includes deans of UWI law faculties, senior academics from McGill, Georgetown, and Texas University, and judges of the Caribbean Court of Justice.
- Editorial Committee: Led by Professor David Berry (UWI Cave Hill), with contributions from academics, judges, and practitioners across the Caribbean and internationally.
Submission Guidelines:
- Types of Submissions: Articles, case notes, and book reviews.
- Word Limits:
- Articles: < 10,000 words (excluding footnotes)
- Case notes & book reviews: < 2,500 words (excluding footnotes)
- Abstract: Required (100 words, with 3–5 keywords).
- Citation Style: OSCOLA (Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities).
- Format: Microsoft Word, submitted electronically via email attachment.
- Exclusivity: Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Peer Review: Each submission is reviewed by at least two experts.
- Author Details: Name, qualifications, institutional affiliation, and occupation must be included.
