Call for Papers: Environmental Law and Practice Review (ELPR) – Volume XI (2026-27)

The Editorial Board of the Environmental Law and Practice Review (ELPR) invites original submissions for Volume XI (2026-27). ELPR is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scholarship in Environmental Law and Policy. Contributions are welcome from academicians, practitioners, researchers, and students who critically engage with contemporary environmental challenges and legal developments.


About the Journal:

ELPR provides a platform for innovative and critical analysis on pressing environmental issues. The journal covers diverse areas including:

  • Natural resources law
  • Climate change policy
  • Environmental governance
  • Technology and environment
  • Human rights and environmental justice

Its mission is to foster meaningful dialogue and propose solutions to global and regional environmental challenges.


Types of Contributions:

  • Articles: Comprehensive studies with original research, comparative analysis, or theoretical insights. (Max: 10,000 words including footnotes)
  • Essays: Concise discussions on specific contemporary problems in environmental law or science. (Max: 6,000 words including footnotes)
  • Case Comments / Legislative Critiques & Notes: Analytical pieces critiquing legislation, policies, or judicial decisions, with reform suggestions. (Max: 3,500 words including footnotes)
  • Book Reviews: Critical evaluations of books published within the last three years relevant to environmental law or science. (Max: 3,000 words including footnotes)

Note: All submissions must include an abstract of 250–300 words.

  • International & Regional Environmental Governance
  • Climate Justice, Equity, and Global Divide in Environmental Negotiations
  • Green Financing, Taxation, and Disclosure Standards
  • Environmental Law and Technology
  • Environmental Judicial Review and “Environmental Constitutionalism”
  • Climate Change Litigation
  • Intellectual Property Rights in the Era of Climate Change
  • Human Rights and Indigenous Community Rights
  • Other contemporary issues related to the above themes

Submission Guidelines:

  • Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12 (main text), 10 (footnotes), 1.5 line spacing.
  • Citation Style: OSCOLA. Speaking footnotes are discouraged.
  • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism will result in rejection.
  • Authorship: Joint authorship permitted, with no cap on the number of authors.
  • Ethics: Authors must secure permissions for unpublished works cited and ensure manuscripts contain no libellous or scandalous material.
