Cfp for law students- NUJS Journal on Dispute Resolution- Volume II, Issue II.

• The Journal on Dispute Resolution (‘JODR’) is the Mediation Clinic’s flagship biannual, open-access, student-reviewed journal, published under the auspices of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences in Kolkata. Its goal is to provide a forum for debate on current national and worldwide developments in the field of conflict resolution. The Journal also strives to establish a balance between practical and academic contributions on topics that are at the forefront of current legal debate.
• The NUJS Mediation Clinic and the Indian Mediation Week (‘IMW’) collaborated to launch JODR. Justice A.K. Sikri opened the NUJS Mediation Clinic, which was the country’s first student-run mediation clinic. The Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, and the Supreme Court Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (‘MCPC’) promote IMW as India’s largest student-run Access to Justice Campaign, which is spread across the country.

Submission Rules

Please note the following details in relation to the submissions. We accept submissions from academicians, legal practitioners, research scholars and students encompassing but not limited to the themes mentioned above.

Word Requirements

• a)Long Articles: 6,000
• b)Short Articles: 3,000 to 6,000
• c)Case Comments: 1,500 to 3,000
• d)Legislative Comments: 1,500 to 3,000
• e)Book and Article Reviews: 1,500 +

• It is permissible for persons to co-author publications. The number of co-authors, however, shall not exceed three.
• The Author’s identity, credentials, or affiliations must not be mentioned or referenced in any way in the manuscript. A separate cover letter must be written with such pertinent biographical information.
• An abstract of up to 300 words must be included in the paper. To ensure search engine optimization, it may additionally contain a maximum of 5 key-words.
• In the manuscript, the author must adhere to the OSCOLA guide to legal citation (4th ed., 2012).
• The manuscript’s body must be written in the font ‘Times New Roman,’ size 12, with one line spacing. All footnotes must be in Times New Roman font, size 10, with one line spacing.

Deadline for Submissions

• Submissions for the fourth issue must be received by March 10, 2022. Submissions will be accepted throughout the year, but only those received after the deadline will be considered for future issues.
• The manuscript must be the Author’s first and unpublished work (s). The submission will not be considered for publishing on any other platform while it is being reviewed. The Author(s) must not plagiarise their submission(s), and the editorial board has the right to reject a plagiarised paper.

Submission Procedure

The manuscript shall be submitted in an MS Word (.doc/.docx) format and must be compatible with MS Word 2007 and above. The submissions shall be sent to jodr@nujs.edu with the title as “Submission—JODR”.
