The Indian Maritime sector has been consistently exhibiting strong growth and is slated to be the maritime market of the future.

The establishment of Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) is an endeavour by the Gujarat Maritime Board to provide a fillip to this growth by bridging the knowledge gap within the industry.

Gujarat Maritime University has been established under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009.

All posts are contractual for the term of 5 years (including 1-year probation) subject to the satisfactory completion of probation of the initial one year.

The term of 5 years may be extended for the further duration as determined by the University on the basis of needs of University and performance of the candidate.

In case of unsatisfactory performance, the probation is extendable by a maximum period of one year, but in no case, the total period of probation shall exceed 24 months and on the continuation of unsatisfactory performance for 24 months, the service(s) shall be terminated.

1. Professor Law: 100000-150000) on a fixed-term contract basis.
2. Associate Professor of Law (International Trade Law): ₹131400-217100 (Academic Level -13A) 7th CPC
3. Assistant Professor of Law (International Trade Law): ₹ 57700-182400 (Academic Level – 10) 7th CPC
4. Associate Professor of Law (Maritime Law): ₹131400-217100 (Academic Level -13A) 7th CPC

For the Walk-in-Interview candidates are required to arrive at the campus on 24th July 2019 09:30 AM with four copies of their resume and all the other necessary documents and certificates

Selection Process: Faculty Seminar: All the shortlisted candidates will be required to give a seminar on any topic/theme of
his/her choice in the area as mentioned against the vacancies above for 15-20 Minutes.

Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates in the Faculty Seminar will be invited for the personal interview.
