About the Organization

Right To Education Resource Centre of IIM Ahmedabad is inviting applications for its annual flagship event Winter School 2019.

The program aims to orient students towards public policy and facilitates understanding the role of education in bringing about a social change.

The theme of Winter School 2019 is ”Inclusivity” which aims to eliminate exclusions based on gender, caste, religion, disability, and income and create an inclusive society.

About the Winter School

Winter School comprises of two parts:

A) Orientation (at IIM Ahmedabad): Participants of Winter School go through an orientation program for 4 days at IIMA Campus. Esteemed professors of the institute and various other dignitaries from all over India take orientation classes for the participants. The purpose of the orientation program is to give the participants a basic set of tools for understanding the social equations surrounding them.

B) On-field Practicum: Post the orientation program, participants pick a policy of their choice and do a practicum at a place of their choice. The practicum would ideally take 10 days. Participants are expected to send a report to the RTERC, detailing the work they have done, to earn a certificate.
