About DSLSA:

The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) is inviting applications from law students across India for its Winter Internship Program 2025–26, offering a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the Authority’s day-to-day operations, free legal aid system, and welfare schemes aimed at marginalized communities. Through this program, students can contribute fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and research while developing practical legal skills in a multicultural environment. DSLSA seeks motivated, socially active students with empathy and commitment to “Access to Justice for All” under its guiding motto of Sewa, Samadhan, Samarpan.

About Winter Internship Programme 2025-26:

The Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) is inviting law students from across India to apply for its Winter Internship Programme 2025–26, a unique opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the functioning of the free legal aid system, welfare schemes, and grassroots legal issues while working under its guiding motto Sewa • Samadhan • Samarpan. The programme aims to equip students with practical legal skills, innovative perspectives, and research experience in a multicultural environment, while fostering empathy, social commitment, and a deeper understanding of how DSLSA and NALSA ensure Access to Justice for All, especially for marginalized communities.

Eligibility:

Law students pursuing Five years Course and Three Years Course are eligible to apply for this program.

Skills required:

Efficiency in written Communication (English), Legal writing, Basic legal knowledge, Computer Operation in Word/Excel/PPT.

Timeline:

• NOTE: Application should be submitted with scanned copy of Identity Card issued from College/University & passport size photograph of the applicant along with recommendation letter issued by principal/HOD of Law Department. In case desired documents are not attached, then application will not be considered.
• Students shall be required to send a confirmation e-mail @ legallitwing-dslsa@nic.in of their participation in Internship Program positively latest by 22nd December, 2025, failing which their application is liable to be rejected.

Suggested field areas for visit during Internship Period:

While interning with this Authority, the students may have an opportunity to visit the authorities/places mentioned below:

Courts & Tribunals:

1. District Courts (Civil & Criminal side);
2. Family Courts;
3. Special Courts dealing with cases under Section 138 N.I.Act;
4. Mediation Centre;
5. Labour Courts & Tribunals including Armed Forces Tribunal, Debt Recovery
   Tribunal, MCD Appellate Tribunal, Consumer Forums etc.;
6. Permanent Lok Adalat

Outreach Activities:

1. Door to Door Campaign in Districts;
2. Legal Services Clinics;

Child Care Institutions:

1. Observation Homes for Juveniles.

2. Juvenile Justice Boards.

3. Children Homes & Child Welfare Committees;

Jail & Police Stations:

1. Tihar or Rohini Jails;

2. Police Stations/Forensic Science Laboratory;

Other Government Establishments:

1. National Commission for Protection of Child Rights Mental Health Institution (IHBAS);
2. One Stop Centers;
3. Shelter Homes in Districts;
4. District Magistrate Offices;
5. District Labour Offices.

Academic Credit:

• Internship Certificate shall be awarded after successful completion of the Internship.
• 3 Excellence Certificates would also be awarded to the chosen candidates who will complete their internship with sincerity and devotion and bring new innovative ideas.

Attendance:

• Minimum 75% attendance is must for getting the Internship Certificate.
