About Panjab University

Established in 1882 in Lahore, Panjab University is one of the oldest Universities in India. The university has 75 teaching and research departments and 15 centres/chairs for teaching and research at the main campus located at Chandigarh. It has 188 affiliated colleges spread over Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Regional Centres at Muktsar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur.

About the University Institute of Legal Studies

University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) was established in 2004-05 with the aim of providing quality education and training in the legal profession. Despite having recent beginnings and facing teething problems, UILS has become one of the premier institutions in the country for providing legal education.

About the Seminar

Marginalisation is a global problem that impacts negatively upon societies across the world. Marginalisation usually talks of social inequality in the form of hierarchy where one is at the topmost level and the other may be at the lowest ebb. Marginalisation has been conventionally conceived in a specific societal context with distinctive connotation to delineate social groups living in peripheral, adverse situations at times with alleged negative attributes.

Call for Papers

Research Papers are invited from the academicians, practitioners, research scholars and students on the issues related to the theme. Authors of the selected abstracts will be given an opportunity to present their papers during the seminar. Full papers submitted on or before the last date of submission shall be considered for publication. The quality-based selected papers will be published in the form of a Book bearing ISBN.
