About the Centre:
The JSW Centre for the Future of Law was established in 2024 at NLSIU Bengaluru with the support of the JSW Foundation. The Centre advances academic learning, research, and policy debates on law, technology, and system reform. Its focus areas include:
- Health & regulation
- Environment & law
- Corporate governance
- Impact of new technologies on the legal system, profession, and education
Position Details:
- Role: Project Manager (Full‑time)
- Location: NLSIU Campus, Bengaluru
- Tenure: 1 year (extendable)
- Salary: ₹70,000 – ₹90,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a 5‑year plan for the Centre’s objectives, staffing, and activities
- Organise planning, review, and strategy meetings with the Advisory Board
- Prepare research outputs (briefs, articles, blogs)
- Build and maintain a database of subject experts
- Coordinate social media outreach and webpage updates
- Liaise with JSW Foundation for reviews and reporting
- Maintain records and accounts of Centre activities
- Manage fellowship programmes
- Coordinate events (annual lecture, workshops, consultations)
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Master’s degree in any discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ post‑qualification experience in research/project management
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience in strategy roles (preferably in higher education)
- Prior experience incubating a research centre
- Strong communication, writing, and operational skills
- Excellent presentation and time management abilities
