Legal Internship Opportunity at Tata Trusts:

Tata Trusts invites applications for its Legal Internship Programme under the project Strengthening Legal Documentation & Case Management Systems. This internship offers law students a chance to gain hands-on experience with one of India’s oldest and most impactful philanthropic institutions.

Internship Details:

• Project Title: Strengthening Legal Documentation & Case Management Systems
• Function: Legal
• Number of Interns: 2
• Tenure: Minimum 2 months – Maximum 6 months
• Period: Starting March 2026
• Location: WTC Office, Mumbai

Eligibility Criteria:

• Pursuing LL.B (3-year course) or 5-year integrated LL.B course
• Must have completed at least 2nd semester (LL.B) or 4th semester (integrated LL.B)

Key Responsibilities:

• Vetting of legal documents
• Research on case laws and applicable laws for ongoing matters
• Assisting with legal queries raised to the department
• Attending Courts/Tribunals as required
• Preparing briefs and maintaining legal trackers

Target Institutions:

Applications are encouraged from reputed law colleges including:

• Government Law College, Mumbai
• KC Law College
• University of Mumbai
• Maharashtra National Law University
• Other reputed law colleges across India

Stipend & Benefits:

• Stipend: ₹30,000 per month
• Orientation and mentorship through a dedicated “Buddy” system
• Exposure to real-time legal processes and case management
• Evaluation at defined milestones with potential for future trainee positions
