National Law Institute University is an Indian law school and research institute based in Bhopal. It is one of the first three law schools to be formed under the National Law School system, having been founded in 1997 by the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The Cell for Studies in Intellectual Property Rights (CSIPR) is a cell at the National Law Institute University in Bhopal (NLIU) dedicated to the advancement of knowledge in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR).

It exposes students to a variety of topics of Intellectual Property law through academic endeavours such as conferences, workshops, and print publications such as the NLIU Journal of IP Law, which is their flagship journal.

By requesting submissions from interested individuals and publishing them, the CSIPR students hope to foster research in the field of intellectual property and promote an environment of debate and discussion on topics relating to technology law (subject to review).

The Blog will serve as a useful one-stop shop for advances and legal insights in the sectors of intellectual property and technology law, ensuring that new jurisprudence is added to the current body of knowledge.

The blog will accept submissions on a rolling basis and will be open to students, academics, and professionals.

Submission Rules

• If a post is within the subject of the blog, i.e. intellectual property law and/or technology law, it will be accepted for publication. The subject matter of the submissions must be relevant to current concerns in IP and/or technology legislation.
• They also invite submissions that look into the laws’ business implications (e.g., IP and innovation) as well as their industrial relevance (e.g., technology and media). Authors are urged to contribute to the current material by posting new viewpoints, ideas, or opinions.
• A submission must be at least 800 words long and no more than 1,500 words long. (If it is required to preserve, this criteria may be eased to some extent.)
• It is permissible for up to two authors to collaborate on a paper.
• Only MS Word formatted submissions will be accepted.
• To the best of the authors’ knowledge, all required fields must be filled out accurately.
