About SRM School of Law

The School of Law, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) was established with a commitment to providing quality legal education and professional training. The School offers three-year LL.B., five-year integrated LL.B., postgraduate and research programmes, supported by experienced faculty and a curriculum that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical legal training.

The School of Law places significant emphasis on moot court training, legal research, advocacy, drafting, clinical legal education and experiential learning, enabling students to develop the knowledge and professional skills required for a successful career in the legal profession.

VIII National Tamil Moot Court Competition, 2026

The 8th SRM National Tamil Moot Court Competition, 2026 will be conducted from 9th to 11th October 2026 at the School of Law, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur.

Eligibility

Students pursuing either a 3-year LL.B. programme or a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme are eligible to participate.

• Medium of the Competition: Tamil
• Maximum Teams: Two teams per college/university
• Team Composition: 2 Student Advocates + 1 Researcher

Registration

The registration fee is ₹3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) per team.

Registration shall be made only through NEFT, and the transaction receipt is required to be uploaded along with the registration details in the Google Form.

Registration Deadline: 5 October 2026, 11.59 P.M.

• Runner-up: ₹15,000/- + Trophy + Certificate + AIR Online Subscription
• Best Student Advocate: ₹7,000/- + Trophy + Special Recognition Certificate
• Best Researcher: ₹7,000/- + Trophy + Special Recognition Certificate
• Best Memorial: ₹7,000/- + Trophy + Special Recognition Certificate
• All Participants: Certificate of Appreciation
