2nd Fali S. Nariman National Moot Court Competition, 2026:

Career College of Law, Bhopal, proudly announces the 2nd Fali S. Nariman National Moot Court Competition (FSNCC), 2026, a prestigious platform for aspiring lawyers to sharpen their advocacy, research, and analytical skills.


About the Competition:

  • Organized by the Moot Court Society of Career College of Law, Bhopal.
  • Dates: 7th – 9th May 2026 (Physical Mode).
  • Venue: Career College of Law, Govindpura, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
  • Official Language: English.
  • Structure:
    • Researcher’s Test
    • Two Preliminary Rounds
    • Advanced Rounds (Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, Final)

Honoring Fali S. Nariman:

The competition is named after Mr. Fali S. Nariman, one of India’s most distinguished constitutional jurists, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, and a stalwart in international arbitration and minority rights advocacy.


Eligibility:

  • Open to students enrolled in BA/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc. LL.B., LL.B., or LL.M. programs.
  • Teams: 2–3 members (two speakers + one researcher).
  • Maximum: Two teams per institution.

  • Registration Opens: 11 March 2026
  • Registration Closes: 11 April 2026
  • Moot Proposition Release: 13 March 2026
  • Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): 6–18 April 2026
  • Memorial Submission (Hard Copy): 6–25 April 2026
  • Opening Ceremony & Researcher’s Test: 7 May 2026
  • Preliminary & Quarter-finals: 8 May 2026
  • Semi-final, Final & Valedictory: 9 May 2026

Memorial Guidelines:

  • Two memorials: Petitioner (Blue cover) & Respondent (Red cover).
  • Sections: Cover Page, Table of Contents, Abbreviations, Authorities, Jurisdiction, Facts, Issues, Summary, Arguments, Prayer.
  • Formatting: Times New Roman, size 12 (main text), size 10 (footnotes), Harvard Bluebook 20th Edition citation.
  • Late submission penalties apply.

Oral Rounds:

  • Preliminary: 15 minutes per team
  • Quarter-final: 20 minutes
  • Semi-final: 30 minutes
  • Final: 45 minutes
  • Strict anonymity maintained via Team Codes.
  • Evaluation based on knowledge, application, authorities, clarity, creativity, court mannerisms, and time management.

Awards:

  • Winning Team: ₹18,000
  • Runner-up: ₹8,000
  • Best Memorial: ₹2,000
  • Best Speaker: ₹2,000
  • Best Researcher: ₹2,000

Accommodation & Facilities:

  • Accommodation available for registered participants (7–9 May 2026).
  • College provides transportation between venue and accommodation.
  • Meals included for accommodated participants; lunch for all.
