About the Conference:

The Department of Dr. Ambedkar Law University is convening a National Conference on “Artificial Intelligence and the Criminal Justice System” to explore the transformative role of AI in criminal investigation, judicial decision‑making, and governance. The event will address pressing concerns of constitutional rights, accountability, transparency, and algorithmic bias.

Through thematic sessions, panel discussions, and research presentations, the conference aims to foster informed dialogue and contribute to the development of ethical, fair, and effective AI integration within the justice system.

Established under Act No. 43 of 1997, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University is a pioneering sui generis institution—the first of its kind in India and South Asia. Inaugurated by President K. R. Narayanan, the University is recognized by the Bar Council of India and the UGC, and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

  • Plagiarism: Must not exceed 10% (UGC guidelines)
  • AI Tools: Use of AI tools for submissions is strictly prohibited
  • Submissions must include title, author details, institutional affiliation, email, and contact number
  • Papers to be submitted via Google Forms (links provided by organisers)
