ABOUT VIDHI MAHOTSAVA:

Maharishi Law School, MUIT Noida, is hosting its second Law Festival—Vidhi Mahotsava 2025—from 19th to 22nd November in collaboration with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). The event aims to broaden the legal discourse and empower students through competitions like Moot Court, Debate, Judgment Writing, and Client Counseling. Each activity is designed to enhance legal acumen, practical skills, and interpersonal growth. Cultural performances and a Global Conference will also enrich the experience. The festival aspires to foster dynamic, socially aware legal professionals for years to come.

AWARDS:
The competition embraces following awards:

  • Winner – 25,000/- (Certificate of merit + memento)
  • Runners-Up – 15,000/- (Certificate of merit + memento)
  • Best Memorial – 10,000/- (Certificate of merit + memento)
  • Best Researcher – 5,000/- (Certificate of merit + memento)
  • Best Mooter – 5,000/- (Certificate of merit + memento)
    All the participants will get the Certificate of Participation.
    The Maharishi Administrator & Moot Court Committee may also grant any other Prize/Awards to any
    participants/teams in the competition.

1st MMY Debate Competition:

ELIGIBILITY:

  • The Competition is open for all the colleges/university students from all streams. Students
    enrolled in any UG course are eligible to participate in the competition.
  • Each team shall comprise two participants. Cross-institutional teams are not permitted,
    provided both members are bona fide students of their respective institutions.
  • Each participant must present a valid Institutional ID Card on the day of the competition.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Last Date of Registration: 10th November 2025
Registration Fee: Rs 1000/- per team
Please note: Receipt of payment should be attached with the online registration form.

AWARDS & RECOGNITION:
▪ Winner: ₹5100 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit.
▪ Runner-up: ₹2100 + Medal + Certificate of Merit.
▪ Best Speaker: ₹1100 + Medal + Certificate.
▪ All participants will receive certificates of participation.

3rd MMY Client Counseling Competition:

ELIGIBILITY:

  • The competition is applicable for those students who are pursuing a 5-year Integrated Law Programme OR LL.B (3-year course) students from any college/institution/university within the territory of India.
  • Mode of Competition: Offline
  • Team Composition: Each team shall consist of TWO members only.
  • THEME- Artificial Intelligence, Indian Knowledge System and Law

ROUNDS:
There shall be three rounds:

  1. Preliminary Round: All teams shall compete against each other and the top 10 scoring
    teams shall be carried forward to the next round.
  2. Semi-final Round: Top 5 teams from Preliminary Round shall compete against each other
    and the top 4 out of them shall be carried forward to the next round.
  3. Final Round: Top 4 teams from Semi-Final Round shall compete against each other and the
    winner and the runners up shall be declared from them.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Open to all students pursuing 3-year LL.B., 5-year integrated law courses, or 6 years B.Tech
    LL.B and Company Secretary Students.
  • Individual participation only.

RULES:

  • The judgment must be in English.
  • Citation of authorities should follow the ILR style.
  • Word limit: 1500–2000 words (excluding citations).
  • Participants must not disclose their identity in the judgment. Always mention the Team Code Provided.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

  • Registration Fee: ₹ 800 per participant
  • Last Date to Register: 15-11-2025
