Admission Notification: LL.M. in Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws (2026–2028)
NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad & Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA, New Delhi)
NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), invites applications for the two-year LL.M. program in Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws for the academic years 2026–2028. This first-of-its-kind program is designed to address the growing demand for insolvency professionals and legal experts in India’s dynamic corporate and financial ecosystem.
Program Highlights:
- Dual Campus Learning:
- Year 1: NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad
- Year 2: Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi
- Focus: Comprehensive study of insolvency and bankruptcy laws, corporate restructuring, debt recovery, liquidation, cross-border insolvency, and financial markets.
- Pedagogy: Blend of academic rigor and practice-oriented training, with seminars, guest lectures, internships, and research projects.
- Career Pathways: Opportunities with Insolvency Professionals (IPs), IPAs, consultancies, law firms, ARCs, and academia.
Eligibility:
- LL.B. degree or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
- Final-year LL.B. students may also apply.
- No upper age limit.
- Special provisions for Resident Students of Telangana based on study/residency criteria.

- Registration Closes: 31st May, 2026
- Hall Ticket Download: 5th June, 2026
- Entrance Exam: 7th June, 2026
- Online Interview: 14th June, 2026

Selection Criteria:
- Entrance Exam (MCQs, 2 hours) – 60% weightage
- Personal Interview (online) – 40% weightage
- Syllabus: Contract Law, Sale of Goods Act, Property Law, Company Law, Tax Law, SEBI & Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code.
Seat Matrix:
- Total Seats: 66
- All India Quota: 50 seats
- Telangana Quota: 16 seats
- Reservations:
- SC: 9 seats
- ST: 4 seats
- OBC/BC (Non-Creamy Layer): 14 seats
- EWS: 6 seats
- Horizontal Reservations:
- 30% for female candidates
- 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWD)
- Foreign Nationals: 20% seats over and above sanctioned strength
Fee Structure:
- Year 1 (NALSAR): ₹6,34,000
- Year 2 (IICA): ₹7,85,000
- Includes tuition, hostel, and mess charges.
- Fees are provisional and subject to revision.

- Application Fee:
- General: ₹5,000
