Jashn‑e‑Hunar 2026 – A Celebration of Words, Ideas & Imagination:
Organized by School of Law, Manav Rachna University | 27th – 28th February 2026 | Faridabad, Delhi‑NCR
The School of Law, Manav Rachna University (MRU) proudly presents Jashn‑e‑Hunar 2026, an interdisciplinary festival of creativity, dialogue, and performance. This two‑day event brings together storytellers, poets, debaters, performers, and thinkers from across India to celebrate the power of imagination in shaping truth, fairness, and society.
Day 1 – The Student Festival
Competitions | Creativity | Conversations
Open to students of all disciplines and universities across India. Entries welcome in English, Hindi, Urdu, or regional languages.
Competition 1 – Character on Trial: The Courtroom of Imagination
- Re‑examine iconic characters from literature, film, or myth through conscience and choice.
- Format: Solo or pairs defend/accuse a character using drama, reason, and emotion.
- Registration Fee: ₹1000 per participant
- Prizes: Winner – ₹10,000 | Runner‑Up – ₹7,500 | Certificates & Trophies
Competition 2 – Poetry of Conscience: The Spoken Word Slam
- Platform for original poems and spoken‑word pieces on themes like freedom, justice, love, identity, resistance.
- Inspiration: Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Tagore, Sarojini Naidu, Premchand.
- Judging Criteria: Originality, expression, voice, audience connection.
- Registration Fee: ₹1000 per participant
- Prizes: Winner – ₹10,000 | Runner‑Up – ₹7,500 | Certificates & Trophies
Competition 3 – Scenes of Truth: Mini Play & Mono‑Act Challenge
- Teams (up to 5) or solo performers present short acts (5–7 minutes) exploring conflict, justice, or moral choice.
- Themes: Shakespeare, Dostoyevsky, Tagore, Premchand, or original scripts.
- Judging Criteria: Creativity, narrative depth, team coordination, impact.
- Registration Fee: ₹1000 per participant
- Prizes: Winner – ₹10,000 | Runner‑Up – ₹7,500 | Certificates & Trophies
Open Mic – Echoes of Expression
- Informal closing session for quotes, poems, reflections on truth, art, and words.
- Special Awards:
- Best Expression (Male) – ₹1,500 + Certificate
- Best Expression (Female) – ₹1,500 + Certificate

- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Inauguration & Welcome Ceremony
- 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM: Competition 1
- 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM: Competition 2
- 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM: Competition 3
- 3:15 PM – 3:45 PM: Open Mic
- 3:45 PM – 4:00 PM: Prize Distribution & Closing
