About the MEA:

Ministry of External Affairs has launched the MEA Internships Programme in International Law from the year 2023-24. This program is aimed towards continuing the aim of the Ministry to bring in more focus on MEA to provide value to the interns by providing exposure to International Relations & Diplomacy and to provide a platform for talented youth to nurture their talent in the field of International Law.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, invites applications for its prestigious Internship Programme for Term II (October–March). This initiative offers young scholars and students a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in India’s diplomatic and foreign policy ecosystem.

Key Details:

  • Duration: 1 to 3 months.
  • Location: MEA Headquarters, New Delhi.
  • Honorarium: ₹10,000/month.
  • Travel Support: One-time return airfare reimbursement (subject to cap).
  • Seats Available: Maximum 30 interns per term.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Final-year undergraduate students, postgraduates, or research scholars from recognized universities.
  • Fields of study: International Relations, Political Science, Law, Economics, Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Age limit: Not more than 25 years as of the application deadline.
  • Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the last qualifying examination.
  • Indian citizenship mandatory.
