About Kerala Law Academy (KLA)

Established in 1966, the Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA) is a premier centre for legal studies, research, and law reforms. Its peer‑reviewed Research Journal has been published continuously since 1977. Affiliated with the University of Kerala, KLA offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including integrated LL.B. courses, LL.M. specialisations, and the Master of Business Law (M.B.L.).

About the Seminar

The 32nd International Seminar seeks to provide a multidisciplinary platform for academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, technology experts, and students to deliberate on the evolving challenges of privacy, personal data, and digital memory.

With the rise of social media, search engines, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms, personal information has become easily accessible and often permanently available. While technology enhances freedom of expression and access to information, it also raises concerns about privacy, reputation, and misuse of data.

The seminar will critically examine the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), which recognises rights of individuals over their personal data, including correction and erasure. Discussions will focus on balancing privacy, freedom of expression, public interest, and preservation of historical records in a connected world.

(Authors may submit papers on any topic aligned with the central theme.)

Publication Opportunity

Selected papers will be published in the Seminar Book with ISBN.

Submission Guidelines

• Abstract (≤ 250 words) to be submitted by 10th September 2026.
• Full paper (≤ 2500 words) due by 25th September 2026.
• Format: Times New Roman, 12 pt text, 14 pt headings, single spacing, justified.
• Citation Style: The Bluebook (20th ed.).
• Co‑authorship permitted (up to two authors).
• Papers must be original and unpublished.
