About the Conference

The international system is undergoing profound transformation marked by geopolitical contestations, technological disruptions, economic fragmentation, climate challenges, and shifting power balances. In this context, the conference—supported by ICWA, New Delhi—aims to strengthen academic‑policy engagement and facilitate informed dialogue on India’s evolving role in world affairs.

The vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, coinciding with the centenary of India’s independence, highlights the interconnection between national transformation and global engagement. Foreign policy is increasingly viewed as a facilitator of national development, encompassing economic growth, technological advancement, national security, sustainable development, and social resilience.

This interdisciplinary platform will examine how India’s foreign policy can advance the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 through development diplomacy, economic partnerships, strategic security, regional engagement, and global governance. Special focus will be on India’s role in the Global South, G20, BRICS, and multilateral reforms.

  1. Critically examine India’s evolving foreign policy in a multipolar global order.
  2. Analyze diplomacy’s role in achieving Viksit Bharat @2047 through growth, technology, and sustainability.
  3. Assess strategic and security dimensions of India’s foreign policy.
  4. Explore India’s role in global governance and Global South cooperation.

  • India’s Strategic Vision & Regional Diplomacy: Strategic autonomy, multi‑alignment, Indo‑Pacific partnerships, Neighborhood First, Act East, India‑Africa relations.
  • Economic Diplomacy & Development Partnerships: Trade diplomacy, supply‑chain resilience, South‑South cooperation, digital public infrastructure, energy diplomacy.
  • Security & Strategic Challenges: Indo‑Pacific frameworks, maritime security, defence cooperation, cyber and space security, human security.
  • Global Governance & Global South Leadership: G20, BRICS, climate justice, renewable energy, technology governance.
  • Foreign Policy in the Digital Age: AI diplomacy, cyber norms, diaspora diplomacy, youth perspectives.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract: 200–250 words; include title, author(s), affiliation, email, keywords.
  • Full Paper: 4,000–6,000 words; APA 7th Edition referencing; Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.

    • Full Paper Submission: 25 October 2026
