The Centre for Regulatory Studies, Governance and Public Policy (CRSGPP) was established at the WB National University of Juridical Sciences in July 2015 to promote interdisciplinary research.
It was established on the basis of the concurrence of the Department of Higher Education and Finance Department of the Government of West Bengal and further approved by the Executive Council of the University in its 48th Meeting held on April 25, 2015. CRSGPP is supported by the Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal since inception.
Centre for Regulatory Studies, Governance and Public Policy (CRSGPP) has taken a humble initiative towards achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through an extensive research project named ‘Project: Carbon Mapping at WBNUJS’.
As an extension of this project, the CRSGPP is organizing a ‘Two-day International Conference’ on ‘Climate Change: Impact, Management Law and Policy Formulation’. Through the conference, CRSGPP aims to enlighten other institutions of taking up a similar initiative towards monitoring of carbon mapping impact on the environment. With valuable insights from Legislators, Executives and members of Judiciary, the seminar aims to highlight all the major ecological, legal and global concerns related to ‘Carbon Mapping’ through a comprehensive way.
The inauguration of the conference shall take place on 17th January’ 2020 at Novotel, Kolkata followed by the technical sessions at WBNUJS that will address key technical and legal issues concerning carbon footprint and the international regime pertinent to this facet of the international environmental law. The conference shall witness prominent personalities as keynote speakers from different nations.
They welcome students, scholars, academicians, bureaucrats and professionals to enthusiastically take part in this one-of-a-kind international seminar at the City of Joy and contribute effectively in making this international conference a grand success by addressing the biggest challenge humans have ever faced till date.

Dates: 17th & 18th of January, 2020.
Abstracts of not more than 300 words, for original research papers on the above mentioned themes, are invited, submitted as Word document, with a brief bio of 200 words along with one photograph. The full-length research paper should be within 5000 words (including footnotes).
Potential contributors are required to adhere to a uniform mode of citation (20th edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation is recommended). All abstracts/papers must be written in Times New Roman with font size 12. Co-authors of up to a maximum of two will be allowed.
Full papers will be published, after peer-review in special issue edition of the ‘NUJS Journal of Regulatory Studies’ with ISSN: 2456-4605 (O). A few cutting edge research papers will also be published in a conference proceeding book published by Taylor and Francis.
Best Paper and Best Presenter Awards will also be given.
