About Project Saksham 4.O:

Project Saksham 4.O is a nationwide Access to Justice movement and one of India’s largest resource‑based legal empowerment initiatives. Initiated by alumni of the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi under the aegis of the Nek Mission Foundation, the project seeks to empower marginalized and underprivileged communities by bridging the gap between legal rights and their practical implementation.

Through legal awareness, legal aid, and community engagement, Project Saksham aims to make justice accessible, understandable, and actionable for all.

The fourth edition expands at an unprecedented scale, covering 11 States and 33 Cities, and collaborating with 100+ Universities. University campuses are being transformed into Justice Hubs to promote legal literacy and community‑based justice across India.

The Mission – Justice Mitra:

Selected volunteers will serve as Justice Mitras, forming the backbone of Project Saksham 4.O’s on‑ground implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Awareness: Conduct door‑to‑door legal literacy campaigns and organize mega awareness camps.
  • Legal Advocacy: Facilitate seminars, discussions, and workshops in schools, colleges, and community spaces.
  • Legal Aid Support: Assist in Satellite Legal Clinics by supporting documentation, guiding beneficiaries, and facilitating access to dispute resolution mechanisms.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applications are invited from:

  • Undergraduate students pursuing any degree.
  • Postgraduate students from any discipline.
  • Graduates or pass‑outs from recognized colleges or universities.

Students from law and non‑law backgrounds with an interest in social justice and community service are strongly encouraged to apply.

Selected volunteers will receive:

  • Official Certificates of Participation/Appreciation from Project Saksham 4.O.
  • Access to exclusive masterclasses by Sitting/Retired Judges and Senior Advocates.
  • Practical exposure to legal drafting, socio‑legal surveys, and RTI advocacy.
  • Opportunities for “Best Volunteer” Recognition Awards.
  • Exposure visits to judicial and legislative institutions.
