About the Blog:

The CFMRS Blog is operated by the Centre for Financial Markets and Regulatory Systems (CFMRS) at National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU). It publishes updates, commentaries, and critical insights on developments in business laws and allied subject areas in India.

The objective of the Blog is to provide a platform for legal professionals, academicians, researchers, and students to promote scholarship in commercial and financial law.

The Blog accepts submissions on a rolling basis across diverse themes, including but not limited to:

Authors are encouraged to explore analytical, research-driven, and policy-oriented perspectives. The list is indicative, and submissions on related themes are welcome.


Content Guidelines:

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.
  • Accepted formats: articles, opinions, case comments, short notes, essays, conceptual notes, or theoretical reflections.
  • Introductory paragraphs must be comprehensive and succinct, summarizing the substance of the article.
  • Case laws, statutes, statistics, and references must be hyperlinked; endnotes may be used where necessary.
  • Citation style: Bluebook (latest edition).
  • Articles should be analytical rather than descriptive.
  • Word Limit: Ideally not more than 1500 words (excluding endnotes).
  • Title: Must not exceed 10 words.

Submission Process:

  • Submissions must be uploaded via the Google Form

  • Do not send submissions via email.
  • Authors must provide:
    • Full name and institutional affiliation
    • Link to online profile (if available)
    • Suggested category of submission

The Blog follows a strict double-blind peer review. The review process typically takes 1–2 weeks. Authors may seek updates in case of delays via email: cfmrs@nliu.ac.in.


Cross Publication:

Posts accepted for publication may be cross-posted, provided they acknowledge that the article was originally published on the CFMRS Blog.
