About the Centre

The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, RGNUL (CADR-RGNUL) is dedicated to advancing research, policy, and capacity-building in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Since its inception, the Centre has consistently worked to bridge the gap between academic discourse and practical application, while addressing lacunae in existing ADR literature.

About the CADR Blog

The CADR Blog serves as a dynamic platform integrating insights from both academic and professional spheres. Its objective is to advance socio-legal and socio-political justice through ADR. The Blog publishes articles on contemporary developments and emerging trends in dispute resolution, encouraging dialogue on theoretical, practical, and policy dimensions. True to its inclusive vision, the CADR-RGNUL website is accessible in English, Hindi, and French, reaching a diverse global audience.

Call for Blog Submissions

The Editorial Board invites original and unpublished submissions in the form of:

• Articles
• Research pieces
• Opinion essays
• Case comments
• Short notes

Submissions may address any contemporary issue related to ADR, including arbitration, mediation, negotiation, conciliation, and Lok Adalats. Contributions from academicians, legal practitioners, research scholars, and students (UG/PG) are welcome. To promote linguistic inclusivity, manuscripts in Hindi are accepted alongside English.

The Blog follows a rolling submissions policy, accepting entries throughout the year. Manuscripts may be submitted via the official Google Form or through the CADR website.

Submission Guidelines

• Originality: Submissions must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
• AI Policy: Use of AI tools for drafting or refining content is strictly prohibited.
• Word Limit: 1000–1500 words (exclusive of endnotes). Longer posts may be published in parts at the Board’s discretion.
• Language: English or Hindi.
• References: Hyperlinks only; OSCOLA 4th Edition endnotes permitted if hyperlinks unavailable.
• Co-authorship: Maximum of two authors.
• Anonymity: Manuscripts must not contain author details to ensure double-blind review.
• File Format: Submissions in .docx format only.
• Copyright: Vests with CADR-RGNUL upon publication; moral rights remain with the author(s).
• Cross-posting: Allowed only with prior permission, with clear acknowledgment of first publication on The CADR Blog.

Content Guidelines

• Theme: Any aspect of ADR mechanisms, domestic or international. Interdisciplinary works exploring ADR intersections with other branches of law are encouraged.
• Content Focus: Analytical pieces preferred over descriptive ones. Evaluation will be based on originality, novelty, analytical depth, coherence, accuracy, and writing quality.
• Structure: Title (≤20 words), synopsis/introduction (≤250 words), and conclusion section required.

Formatting Guidelines

• Font: Garamond, size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified alignment.
• Title: Garamond, size 14, bold, all caps.
• Paragraph spacing: 6 pt before and after.
• Referencing: Hyperlinks in-text; OSCOLA endnotes if hyperlinks unavailable.

Editorial Policy

• Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
• Each manuscript undergoes a double-blind review in two rounds. Reviews may take up to 15 days, though responses are generally provided within a week.
• Authors must incorporate revisions in good faith and cooperate with minor editorial changes.
• Final acceptance depends on satisfactory incorporation of editorial suggestions.
• The Editorial Board retains complete discretion over acceptance or rejection. Advance opinions on abstracts or proposals will not be entertained.
