The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), established in 1998, is one of India’s premier law universities. NALSAR has anchored justice education across diverse areas including land rights, disability empowerment, criminal justice, child and youth justice, and international law. About Centre for Child and Youth Justice (CCYJ):

The Centre for Child and Youth Justice (CCYJ) at NALSAR is a specialised centre dedicated to advancing the rights and welfare of children and youth through research, advocacy, and education. Its mission is to serve children through law by collaborating with government bodies, international organisations, and civil society stakeholders to shape policies that protect and empower young individuals. As a hub for interdisciplinary research, legal education, advocacy, and capacity-building, CCYJ provides policy recommendations aligned with national and international standards. Currently, it is running a project on “Access to Justice for Children through systems strengthening on child protection issues” funded by CRY – Child Rights and You.

Call for Blogs:

The Centre for Child and Youth Justice (CCYJ) at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad invites submissions for its blog. The CCYJ Blog is a platform for critical discussion, analytical commentary, and meaningful engagement on contemporary issues in child rights and juvenile justice. Contributions are welcome from students, academics, practitioners, and researchers passionate about advancing justice for children.

Content Requirements:

Submissions may include:

  • Articles, essays, and critical opinions
  • Case comments (analytical, not just summaries)
  • Book reviews and film reviews relevant to child rights and juvenile justice

Suggested Themes:

  • Contemporary issues in child rights and juvenile justice
  • Revisiting under-researched or dormant topics
  • Comparative perspectives across jurisdictions
  • Global trends in child rights law, policy, and advocacy
  • Interdisciplinary approaches (criminology, psychology, sociology, education, family law, climate change, environmental impacts)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Format: .doc or .docx
  • Authorship: Single author or co-authorship (up to 2 individuals)
  • Abstract: 150–200 words with 4–5 keywords
  • Originality: Must be unpublished; plagiarism ≤ 10% (AI-generated content not accepted)
  • Word Count: 800–1500 words (longer pieces may be published in parts)
  • References: Prefer hyperlinks; footnotes/endnotes only for offline or paywalled sources
  • Visuals: Authors may include images, infographics, or flowcharts (must be copyright-free)
  • Author Bio: ~100 words with contact details and a high-resolution photo
