National Law University Delhi (NLUD) has announced the schedule and details for the Assistant Professor (Law) Recruitment Examination 2026, to be held on 21 June 2026 at its Dwarka campus. The exam will consist of MCQs on legal research and teaching methodology, along with descriptive questions in chosen specialisations.

Recruitment Examination Notification – Assistant Professor (Law):

Notification Date: 27 May 2026
Exam Date: Sunday, 21 June 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Reporting at 10:30 AM)
Venue: National Law University Delhi, Sector‑14, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110078

Examination Components:

  • Paper I: 50 MCQs on Legal Research and Teaching Methodology (1 mark each).
  • Paper II: Subject‑specific descriptive questions (4 questions, 25 marks each).

  • Constitutional Law
  • Legal Theory
  • Criminal Law
  • International Trade Law
  • Corporate Law
  • Intellectual Property Law
  • Cyber & Technology Law
  • Environmental Law
  • Civil Procedure Code
  • Law & Legal Research

Withdrawn Specialisations: Personal Law, Clinical Legal Research, ADR, Taxation, Banking, Insurance & Insolvency (due to inadequate applications).

Key Guidelines:

  • Candidates must secure minimum 55% marks in each paper separately to qualify for the next stage.
  • Shortlisting: Minimum three times the number of candidates against advertised posts will be called for interview, category‑wise.
  • Candidates must confirm their specialisation on the application portal by 6 June 2026.
  • Those who opted for withdrawn specialisations must revise preferences as per instructions.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the exam.

Syllabus:

The syllabus broadly corresponds to subjects ordinarily taught at UG and PG levels in Law, assessing analytical, conceptual, and application‑oriented understanding.
