The Centre of Excellence in Public Policy, Law and Governance is a pioneering initiative of IIT Kharagpur. It offers a Master’s program in Public Policy, Law and Governance, blending legal studies with governance and policy frameworks. The Centre aims to contribute to India’s evolving public policy landscape through research, dialogue, and academic engagement.


About the Conference:

The 2nd Annual Public Policy & Law Conference 2026 focuses on India’s journey toward Viksit Bharat @2047. The deliberations will highlight:

  • Governance reforms for inclusive and sustainable development
  • Strengthening democratic institutions and protecting rights
  • Innovation, technology, and the future of work
  • Equity, social inclusion, and economic resilience
  • Responsible use of digital technologies and sustainable urbanization

Through keynotes, panel discussions, research paper presentations, and workshops, the conference seeks to reimagine governance frameworks that are transparent, adaptive, and future‑oriented.


Sub‑Themes for Paper Submission:

Participants are invited to submit original research papers, case studies, policy briefs, and thought pieces on themes including:

  • Social Justice, Equality & Inclusion
  • Economic, Fiscal & Financial Governance
  • Industrial Development, Innovation & Future of Work

Submission Guidelines:

  • Format: Word document (.docx)
  • File naming: LastName_TypeOfSubmission (e.g., Smith_ResearchPaper.docx)
  • Author details: Full names, affiliations, and contact information
  • Limit: Maximum of three authors per submission
  • Abstract: Up to 300 words, outlining problem, objectives, methodology, and findings
  • Keywords: Clearly stated
  • Declaration: “I/We confirm that the submitted manuscript is my/our original work and has not been previously published or under consideration elsewhere.”
