About the Programme:

The National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi (NUSRL), Ranchi invites applications for Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored Two-Week Capacity Building Programme on Socio-Legal Research, Para-Legal Practice, and Justice Delivery, scheduled from 10–23 December 2026.

The programme seeks to strengthen research capacity, promote practice-oriented legal education, and advance inclusive and effective justice delivery through interdisciplinary learning and institutional collaboration.

Who Should Apply?

Early-career faculty members, Lecturers and Assistant Professors with 0–8 years of teaching experience in Law and allied Social Science disciplines.
Para-legal professionals, NGO leaders, and community justice workers may also participate, subject to programme guidelines.

Key Areas of Learning:

• Socio-legal research methodologies and academic writing
• Legal aid, para-legal practice, and access to justice
• Clinical legal education and curriculum design
• Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), e-Courts, and AI & Law
• Gender, inclusion, and rights-based justice
• Policy analysis, legislative drafting, and interdisciplinary research

Programme Highlights:

• 12 days of intensive academic engagement
• 24 academic sessions
• Expert lectures, hands-on workshops, and experiential learning
• Field and community engagement, mentorship, and research collaboration

No Registration Fee:

• Travel Reimbursement: To-and-fro travel reimbursement will be provided as per ICSSR guidelines.
• Accommodation: Limited accommodation is available for eligible participants residing outside Ranchi, subject to the Programme guidelines.
