The Supreme Court Young Lawyers Association is a professional and academic platform dedicated to promoting legal education, constitutional awareness, professional interaction, and meaningful engagement among young lawyers, law students, and members of the wider legal community. The Association regularly organises seminars, symposiums, academic discussions, and public‑interest initiatives.

About the Symposium

The National Legal Symposium 2026 will be held on the theme: “Freedom to Express: The Right to Speak & Dissent in a Constitutional Democracy.”

This symposium will bring together advocates, academicians, researchers, students, journalists, young professionals, and members of civil society to deliberate on:

  • Freedom of speech and expression
  • Constitutional protection of dissent
  • Democratic participation and limits of speech
  • Digital discourse and its challenges
  • Institutional accountability in a constitutional democracy

Chief Guest: Shri Jaivardhan Singh, Former Cabinet Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh Chairman of the Symposium: Shri Pradeep Rai, Advocate, Supreme Court of India

Registration Details

  • Registration is free of cost and subject to seat availability.
  • Interested participants must complete the official Google Form.
  • Participants may submit brief views or suggestions on the symposium theme during registration or as communicated by the organisers.
  • Formal dress is required. Entry and reporting will be subject to instructions circulated to registered participants.

Recognition and Certificates

  • Noteworthy participant suggestions may be recognised with a memento during the symposium.
  • Educational institutions bringing 35 or more participants will receive a Special Memento of Recognition.
  • E‑certificates of participation will be issued within a reasonable period after the symposium.
