The Centre for Environmental Law, Institute of Law, Nirma University invites original submissions for Volume III, Issue 1 of its biannual, double‑blind peer‑reviewed Journal of Centre for Environmental Law (JCEL). The Journal provides a scholarly platform for research and academic discussion on contemporary environmental law and allied areas, encouraging interdisciplinary approaches to law, policy, governance, sustainability, and technology.

Theme for Submission: Law, Technology and Environment

Technological developments are reshaping environmental governance, creating opportunities for protection while raising questions of accountability, regulation, privacy, and justice. Contributors are invited to explore this intersection through original research.

Submission Guidelines

• Categories:
  • Full‑Length Articles: 5,000–10,000 words
  • Research Notes: 3,000–5,000 words
  • Book Reviews: 1,000–1,500 words
• Abstract: 250–300 words with 3–5 keywords
• Referencing Style: OSCOLA (4th Edition)
• Format: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, A4, justified alignment
• Anonymity: Manuscripts must exclude author details; these should be provided separately.
• Originality: Similarity score ≤ 15%; plagiarism strictly prohibited.
• AI Policy: AI‑generated content for substantive portions is discouraged; limited use permitted for language enhancement only.

Editorial Process

1. Preliminary Review – compliance check
2. Substantive Review – originality, quality, relevance, contribution
3. Final Review – editorial assessment and decision

Decisions: Accepted | Accepted with Minor Revisions | Major Revisions | Rejected Initial decision communicated within 6–8 weeks.
